What's a good birthday gift for a girl you've just started dating?

my guy friend just started dating this girl and her birthday is this weekend. he wants to get her something small but can%26#039;t decide. i advised against sending her flowers at work because i think that%26#039;s too boyfriend/husbandy. he%26#039;s hanging out with her and her friends this weekend. what do you think he should get her?

if she likes music, he should get her a CD/DVD/poster or something related to a band she likes.

Fro example: When I first started dating my ex, we were dating for like a month and his bday came up. I got him a card and made him cake. It was small, but still really special. He thought it was beautiful and he STILL remembers it 4 years later!!

My guy in me have never been official for over a year, and for my birthday last year in June we had just sorta got back together after about a 2 month sorta break. And he had to work on my birthday, so he got me baseball tickets to the love miner league team, and me and some friends went, and that night we hung out after he got of work, and just relaxed together. For his birthday, im pretty sure I got him clothes from his favorite sports teams. Little gifts are better things you can treasure.. lol.... :) No flowers. Flowers are for Anniversary%26#039;s or when your in trouble :)

Reply:My current boyfriend had the same problem with me. He got me the Notebook on DVD and then made a joke about how he had to watch it with me. So we popped some popcorn and watched the chick flick. I loved it. Something like a movie would be a good idea.
