No birthday gift? a Joke or a serious lack of consideration?

It was my birthday today and all I got from my husband besides the %26quot;Happy Birthday darling%26quot;, was a Birthday card he left on the chest of drawers and while having breakfast saying that this is my card. I am really shocked, all day in fact, i just can%26#039;t get over the fact that he did not even give me flower or hand me the card himself. Especially since he had announced my birthday last week several times to friends and my children. So I had actually hiped up some expectations. He had already postphoned our dinner tonight, but then reinstated it, on second thoughts. Am I too self obsessed or just over-sensitive ? Seems that instead of being my birthday its the worst day of the year, at least that is how I feel.

Maybe he has somethig big for later and is trying to throw you off.
Reply:Maybe there will be a surprise party for you and he likes it to be a memorable one not only with your own family but also with your other relatives and friends.





For me, (to tell you honestly) material things that were given


to me since i was a child makes me happy but the thing that is very important for me is that they are there whenever i spend important occasions in my life especially my birthday.
