A good birthday party for an 8 year old gil?

My daughter will be turing 8 soon and I want to have a birthday party for her and about 8 of her friends. I need ideas for things to do. Last year for her birthday party I let the girls decorate cookies and paint on flower pots and plant a little flower for them to take home.

Pottery places make great birthday parties. Some will let each child pick a small item to paint, then they will fire it for you. The one I took my daughter to also made her a birthday plate. Her handprint was in the middle. On the outside edge It said what year her birthday was and each child there put a fingerprint on it. They turned each fingerprint into a ladybug.
Reply:What we did for our daughter over the years:

Hired a hip hop dancer who taught the girls how to dance

Bought a karaoke machine and daughters music teacher gave voice lessons to the girls that day

We have a local hairstyling salon that caters to kids. They also have a room for parties, so we had one there, and the little girls had a %26quot;makeover%26quot;.
Reply:you can never go wrong with a scavenger hunt, you can make it go with most any theme. For my DD 8th b-day, the girls had mini facials ( I did them) and had their nails done. Then They came into a darkened room where I told each of them their fortune, they loved it
Reply:sleep over
Reply:RENT HER A JUMPER AND GET HER A NICE BIG FAT PIÑATA AND SHE%26#039;LL BE THE HAPPIEST LIL GIRL ON EARTH. OOO AND DON%26#039;T FORGET THE PINK CAKE WITH HER FAVORITE HERO, SUPERSTAR, OR CARTOON ON IT.
Reply:How about letting them have a sleep over and they can watch movies with pop corn and get their sleeping bags out etc
Reply:girls love zoo%26#039;s specially that age my couson is that age she want to go to zoo every weekends try doing that.......
Reply:have a hannah montana party! do karaoke and dress up
Reply:My friend took her daughter and friends to this store where they could build their own teddy bear. She took her 5 year old son as well, and he loved it too.

Skating rinks are also a lot of fun.
Reply:slumber parties are fun; stay up making cookies, eating pizza, watching movies, etc.
Reply:party at your house with a bounce house and face painters and pinata and food.

Reply:Depending if your daughter and her friends enjoy the movies, many cinemas offer an exclusive private viewing / party package. They are relatively inexpensive, anywhere from $5-$8 a person which includes refreshments, private viewing of a movie (even older ones) and allotted time for cake and presents. Only drawback is that most movieplexes offer this as a matinee only, so not to interfere with the evening shows.
Reply:Maybe a manicure party, with make up, and dress up clothes etc. You can take pics.
Reply:you could have party games...

Pass the parcel, musical chairs, pin the tail on the donkey. After the party is over they could take home cute party bags with candy and a slice of birthday cake. You could even have a theme where they come as Disney characters. Look at www.kids-party.com/games.shtml see what you think!
Reply:A Barbie party if she likes Barbie.

you can hang pink cellophane over the windows to give the room a pink hue, buy a cake kit at a department store , buy plastic cups that look like adult glasses, put together treat bags with Barbie themed treats. my daughter loved her Barbie party
Reply:skating rink
Reply:Try and hire a magician. Every kid loves magic... hey, even I like a bit of magic!
Reply:you make some divine things that will help others to grow......like you donate some foods to orphan on that day...........
Reply:this site has tons of fun ideas for girls. Themes, games and sleepover ideas too.
