Reply:21 is the traditional coming of age boys %26amp; girls alike, when one is a little wiser %26amp; more mature ie. no longer a teenager the coming of age was lowered in order to create a larger elegible voting community.
Reply:The very rich in the south still do this. I personally think this is out dated. Who cares if I turned 18????? I would rather my parents send me to Cancun than spend money on a dumb party and dress that I will never wear again.

The Bible doesn%26#039;t say you have to have a party at 18............so why would christians want to do it?

PLUS............to me.........it%26#039;s just silly. Your Dad will drop like 5,000 in a few years anyway for your wedding. Who cares about some dumb party.
Reply:because it seems like a waste of money to throw a party for your knocked up daughter...
Reply:In Latin America (particularly Mexico), a girl%26#039;s debutante is her 15th birthday, not her 18th. (Called Quinceanera.) Different cultures do things differently. In America, the %26quot;Sweet 16%26quot; party is a more popular version of the debutante.

And of course, there are people who either don%26#039;t want any big, formal party or who can%26#039;t afford such a thing. I don%26#039;t think there%26#039;s any particular detriment in not having one.
Reply:It still goes on in very few places in America You simply have to be richer Than rich here and it is also the girls 16th birthday that is made a fuss of here so what ever the reason ever body get the party they want so does it really matter when?

make up
