What should I get my mother-in-law for her birthday?

She's been really great to me over the last year, since my own mother %26amp; I fell out! I just want to repay her for everything she's done for me. Can anyone suggest anything other than the usual, perfume, flowers, chocolates, etc.....? I want it to be different %26amp; special.

What should I get my mother-in-law for her birthday?
Your mother-in-law is lucky to have you in her life. Speaking as a mom, to me the best gift is the gift of time with my family. I like the "queen for the day" idea. Make her a special meal at her home or yours. Use that good china and silver and candles that we never seem to get out. Make it a nice leisurely meal. So what if the dishes stack up in the kitchen for a little longer. Let her relax and you can do them later. Make her feel important.

Have flowers on the table and don't forget the birthday cake. Maybe a small gift and a wonderful card with your thoughts handwritten. If you feel compelled to still get a nice gift, a heart locket would be nice.

You are very thoughtful.
Reply:Tickets to a terrific show--one for her and one for you, and take her out to dinner after. I suggest Wicked if it's playing near you. It has great themes of friendship and being strong with your sisters.

If that's too pricey, consider choosing something she'd like from www.personalizationmall.com. I love their stuff (very good quality) and you can pick something that's unique for her that she can think of you every time she sees it.
Reply:Gift certificate to a spa for a pamper day with a massage, pedicure, etc. She'll love it.
Reply:Gift Certificates to her flavor department store.
Reply:A day at a local Spa. She will be pampered and feel good for it.
Reply:if it was mine a noose
