What should I get my girlfriend for her birthday?

I want to get her something personal, and meaningful. Of course I'm taking her out to dinner, getting her flowers, etc. But the gift that means something that I will be giving at the end of the night needs to be personal, maybe even sentimental. She likes the ocean, nature, and she studies meteorology. She's kind of a tree hugger person, but not really. I sort of just started dating her maybe 3~ weeks ago, but we've gotten real close, real fast. I don't want to get her any kind of crazy jewelry. Not yet at least. A bracelet or something semi neutral might be OK, but nothing over the top in terms of price or glam.





I'm open to any other ideas though. I'm stumped at this point... guys... girls (especially) help me out!

What should I get my girlfriend for her birthday?
Especially since you two haven't been dating long, and you stated you did not want to go over the top (very wise), this actually leaves you with so many options! Ideas:


1. Buy a picnic basket and fill it with misc. items you two can do together later. ex: bubbles, chalk, oragami book and paper, coloring book and crayons, cheap game like pick up sticks


2. Think of something she mentioned in passing - and get her a little something to do with that


3. A fish (complete with bowl and food)


4. A coupon book with coupons for things like: back rub, movie night of her choice, you make dinner for her, picnic, etc.

Reply:Get her something special something simple like a build-a -bear, it's posible it's online somewhere. Make it resemble her and her personality. Let her know all night how beautiful she is especailly if she asks how does she look? Let her know she's the most beautiful person in the world to you. That you care, and always LISTEN do not interrupt. When she least expects it kiss her on her forehead not all slobbery or anything but very soft and suttle. Look her in the eyes and tell her that you are getting very close to her that it never happened before and you want to tell her you love her, but you don't want your heart broken. Let her know that you really care and then that's when you give her the bear, make sure it has a heart in it, and tell her to take care of it. And get her a bracelet not to much but something she can wear everyday, with anything. If that doesn't work your screwed, but trust me I'm a girl who turned a guy around and show his sensitive side.

Reply:..from agirl,a little advice..you said you're close,observe her wants and her personality..if she's the sentimental type,you can actually take her at the beach and try making a diorama for her(a box w/ scenes)..be creative..this stays long and it's much different from the usual stuffs..if she likes jewelry,yeah,bracelets will do..if she's simple, then CREATE..don't buy..other girls doesn't want their boyfriends to spend too much,and others will lose their trust(because they think you're buying them)..reserve such expensives when it's your anniversary..be romantic!!

Reply:Look into that company that makes 'Teddy Bears' and ship overnight. You could pick a bear that resembles her personality. I don't know any girl that doesn't love teddy bears.
