Did I go overboard for her birthday?

So, my wife loves lingerie, cookbooks, beads for making jewelery, pajamas, socks, dark chocolate, blueberries, and various William Sonoma products, amongst quite a few other things.





For her birthday, I bought her some Agent Provocatuer lingerie, along with a very large sample from La Senza, Victoria%26#039;s Secret, and others.





I also got her five pairs of pajamas, a few pairs of socks, a ton of vintage (pre-1950%26#039;s) glass beads, two antique cookbooks, a Boos cutting board, a couple DVD%26#039;s she%26#039;s been wanting, some dehydrated blueberries that she%26#039;s totally nuts for but rarely gets, and finally some very yummy dark chocolate.





Of course she%26#039;ll be getting an obscene number of flowers and perhaps I%26#039;ll think of one or two other little things as well.





Am I a total dork?

Did I go overboard for her birthday?
Not at all. It just shows how much you love her and how you really pay attention to what she likes. She%26#039;s a lucky woman !

Reply:truely, it all depends on what anniversary u r celibrating...the truth is that most do not think of the future... are u soul mates, in which your love transpires the universe, or r u just lovers, in which case u have fogotton the passion.... in any event if this is it, then u need to match or better each year... good luck and best wishes.

If you have the money, its very sweet of you to care for her and show her how much you love her and pay attention, but next year shes gonna expect more, and I don%26#039;t think she will wear out all that lingerie and pajamas yet! There is also this. Ask her if its all too much. How would we know? All women are different, no matter how much we seem alike.
Reply:I think it%26#039;s sweet. My sister is lucky if she gets anything. Her husband will often buy her something for one occasion and think that will be enough for her birthday, anniversary, Christmas, etc. I think it%26#039;s great that you took into account all of her favorite things and are making her birthday really special.
Reply:The Bible, at Ecclesiastes 7:1,8 has counsel that shows us that the day of our death is better than that of our birth because at death, those who have made a good name(reputation) with God and man will not be forgotten. For God%26#039;s part, he will resurrect this person.


With this in mind, why make a huge deal on the anniversary of their birth?


The best thing to do is let your wife know all through the year you love her by your words and deeds.

but you dont have to buy her anymore stuff. except flowers, every girl loves flowers.

Reply:Any wife would be lucky to get all that stuff! Just make sure you don%26#039;t get disappointed if she doesn%26#039;t get you as much stuff for your birthday. If that%26#039;s why you%26#039;re giving her so much stuff, then you%26#039;re doing it for the wrong reasons.
