I stopped the drawings at 11 or so, last year I gave my dad a golfing gloves(however you call it) and gave my mother flowers(been doing that for the past 3 years)
I'm 16, what should I get my parents for their birthday?
I gave my parents flowers with a message card, they usually fall for it. Heh heh heh..
Reply:Erm....watches...i gave my mum a white, gold plated watch from the brand Danny and for my dad...a white polo T- shirt....thatz what i can afford as a teenager =(
Reply:Even though you are sixteen, I bet your parents would love something from you that is personal and idolizes your love for them. My friend took a pic of herself and wrote a poem over it in photoshop and her grandma has it framed in her living room. Even a card that expresses your love for them and how they have always taken care of you and such can mean a world more than flowers or golfing gloves if it is from the heart.
Reply:Buy them a his and hers watch set. That way they'll remember you and each other for the rest of their lives.
Reply:My kids gave me a whole day of no chores. They did all the cleaning the cooking (kraft dinner and hotdogs) but hey at least I didn't have to cook it. Washed the car, it was a grand present didn't cost them anything but time and we enjoyed the time together. They did the same thing for their Mom and now she looks forward to her birthday......
Reply:From reading your question i take that you are male and it is awkwardness that is causing you problems, youl may feel that it is wrong to buy certain things for them that you know they will like because it may seem that you are getting too personal with them right?
Well here goes, Get personal but if you do give the gift vouchers to the store that what is you want to give them thereby they will see that their buy is an intelligent caring and sensitive young man.
Perhaps you could involve mom when you buy dad's gift and dad when you buy mom's gift
Reply:give them something they are really interested in. if you got golfing gloves for your father, then he must like golf. give him a golf set. you gave your mother flowers, so instead buy her a boquet of flowers with hearts on it like valentines day.
Reply:My very favorite gift that my teenage kids gave me the Christmas before last was a professional photo of them together. They took the time to get dressed up nice, chose the pose and everything else and then surprised me with it. I loved that because it's been so long since I had professional photos of them done. They said it didn't cost much at some place in the mall. I bet your parents would like a professional photo of you, too.
Reply:get your mom some art (or a spa massage gift certificate) . and your dad..well I never know what to get for men......maybe tickets to a sporting event,if he likes sports
skin disease
